The SW Club trail maintenance day on the 17th July was sponsered by Earth to Ocean Communications. 25 volunteers turner up to help get the trails back to their former glory.
The trails had a recent controlled burn through the area resulting in damage to the trails and closure of up to three weeks. Controlled burns are a necessary part of the management of the forest and happen every 7 years.
Representatives from To Be A Better Rider Academy Bunbury WA, Melo Velo and Grammer School attended to help out.
Working closely with DBCA, we sent teams out to work on different sections of track, with a focus on brining the trails to a safe condition.
The Boylan/Grizzly loop is now open for the public.
The Pallet track is open.
All other trails are still closed until further notice
We will keep you informed.
Next trail maintenance day will be Sunday 24th 9am
